Die 'Freaky Friday'-Darstellerin schlägt jetzt zurück und verkündet, dass ihr Vater, Michael Lohan, sich nur öffentlich um ihre Gesundheit und ihr Wohlbefinden sorge, um etwas von ihrem Rampenlicht abzubekommen.
"Ich rede nicht richtig mit ihm. Das letzte, was ich tun werde, ist, wieder mit ihm zu reden, nur weil er all diese Sachen sagt. Ich habe ihm das schon erklärt. Er spinnt. Er giert einfach nach Aufmerksamkeit. Er ist derjenige, der in die Anstalt gehört. Das, worum es hier wirklich geht? Ich dulde nicht stillschweigend, dass er mir nie Unterhalt gegeben hat. Es ist nicht fair. Meine Mutter ist uns so eine gute Mutter gewesen und hat uns so toll großgezogen", so die wütende Aktrice.
Obwohl ihr Vater sie mit seinen Kommentaren immer wieder vor den Kopf stoße, schwört Lohan, dass sie ihm "dankbar" sei, da er ihre Familie, zu der ihre Mutter Dina, ihre Schwester Ali und die Brüder Michael Jr. und Cody zählen, zusammen geschweißt habe.
Der britischen 'OK!' gegenüber sagt sie: "Ich stehe meinen Geschwistern, meiner Mutter und meiner Oma sehr nahe. Ich habe Glück. Irgendwie bin ich ihm dankbar, wie er sich aufgeführt hat, weil es uns zusammen gebracht hat. Wir passen besser aufeinander auf."(ln)
